Banking
Banca de Export-Import a Romaniei - EximBank S.A. was established in 1992 as a specialized financial institution designed to support the local business environment and international transactions through specific products and services.
After starting as an export agency, EximBank has expanded its scope of work along the years. Following the adjustments made to its business pillars in order to adapt to the national and international economic challenges, EximBank is now capable of presenting to the corporate segment a products and services portfolio that attracts all companies, either SME or large companies, involved in international transactions or only operating locally.
In addition, acting as State agent on the insurance and guarantees market, EximBank is the main channel for the public funds made available by the Romanian state to be infused in the local economy, thus contributing to increase the local companies’ competitive profile.
Due to the nature of its activity – acting both as a commercial bank and as a State agent – EximBank is unique in the Romanian banking system. The Bank’s main goal is to ensure the complementarity between its two functions in order to foster sustainable economic growth and the development of the domestic business environment.
In the implementation of its business strategy, the Bank focuses on companies with high potential for development, SBB and exporters and potential exporters. By offering a complete range of financial products, EximBank has a competitive advantage that enables it to create value in a continuously evolving business environment.
The head office of EximBank is located in Bucharest and in order to ensure adequate coverage at national level, the bank operates through a network of 21 branches across Romania.
Thus, for 25 years EximBank has been actively involved in supporting and promoting the Romanian business environment, using the financial instruments in its portfolio to boost the local companies’ projects.
