The Netherlands-Romanian Chamber of Commerce’s mission to improve the quality of the economic environment and partnerships inspires to me to become an active member of the Board. As Partner at the GRUIA DUFAUT Law Office, present on the Romanian business market since 1991, I have assisted many foreign companies investing in Romania to understand the Romanian legal framework providing them to with business-oriented legal advice and high levels of reactivity and professionalism. GRUIA DUFAUT Law Office serves multinational and medium-sized companies, mainly foreign companies investing in Romania, assisting them through the entire setting up or take-over process, as well as in all the stages in the life of a company in Romania.
My experience in providing legal assistance to foreign companies (including Dutch) investing in Romania can represent an asset in the development of the NRCC activity by providing an exhaustive vision on Romanian legislation, its impact on business, as well as legal ideas and solutions for the NRCC members’ projects.
Last, but not least, my ties to the Netherlands are also strengthened by my family relations (I am married to a Dutch citizen and we have two children), which helped me acquire a profound knowledge of the Dutch culture, values and attitudes.
- To contribute to NRCC’s mission to improve the business environment and advocate it before the Romanian authorities. In my view, NRCC must continue to promote the interests of the local Dutch business environment, promote Dutch best business practices in order to boost Dutch model in economic, tax, development, innovation and education policies.
- To make sure that each member has the chance to benefit from one of the best professional, networking, educational and business opportunities.
