On the 24th of March 2022, NRCC will hold its annual General Assembly of Members, starting with 18:00 hours, at Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Old Town.
On this occasion, 5 positions in the Board of Directors will be up for voting.
We are proud to announce the candidates who are running for a position in the NRCC Board of Directors in 2022.
MEET THE CANDIDATES:
AURA ICODIN, Founder & CEO of A_BEST Foreign Language Center
With a managerial experience of over 13 years in the field of education and nearly 20 years of learning and teaching foreign languages in both public and private institutions, AURA ICODIN’s career can be put „in a nutshell” using two words: education and entrepreneurship.
In 2008, Aura started on the road to entrepreneurship, with the purpose of offering services in the field of education at high standards. For this purpose, Aura founded A_BEST Foreign Language Center, which at present is one of the top independent language centers providing foreign languages courses for Romanians and expats.
„In my position as a Board member of this powerful business community, I will be able to have a stronger impact in balancing the business environment and to bring a consistent contribution in the activity and the essential role of NRCC.
The Netherlands-Romanian business community is a strong and reliable supporter of women in business and in boards. I myself am an active member of the women business community in Romania, as it is my strong belief that empowering women and creating the right environment and tools to help them lead the way will contribute to a more strong economic sector.

GERARD KOOLEN, Group Managing Partner of Lugera & Makler
Gerard is born in 1961 in Amsterdam, where he graduated the Business School (HEAO). After holding many senior roles in several businesses, he established Lugera in 1996 together with Lubos Kovac and Rastislav Grznar in Trencin, Slovakia. The idea was to build a great staffing agency. To help as many people as possible with a better job. And this went dynamite. The bigger they are the more people they’re helping.
“Through the NRCC I hope to be a source of encouragement and engagement for Romanian entrepreneurs and professionals, to be able to connect people within our network, to assist interested members in locating clients and/or suppliers in the Netherlands, to share my knowledge of HR, recruitment, and all the latest developments in HR and to be a valuable source in this respect, and to set up a best-practices exchange.
In addition, I intend to develop contacts and find amazing business partners, and also provide as much assistance to the NRCC as possible."
JACQUES DE BOER, Managing Director of Printmasters in Romania and Board Member of Xindao BV
In last 8 years in Romania, Jacques has been responsible for setting up and developing one of the largest personalization fulfilment centres for the promotional industry in Europe as Managing Director of Printmasters and Board Member of Xindao BV. He has been active for years in executive positions within production, supply chain and service industries in Europe.
Xindao & Printmasters are the game changers in the promotional gift industry by rising awareness about sustainability with focus on water saving and reduction of CO2. Printmasters is partner in the NRCC environmental task force and awarded during the Green Gala.
Being professionally active for years in Romania, as well participating actively in regional and national organizations, like RBL, he has gained extended knowledge of cultural, political, and economic dynamics in the country.
Jacques believes that with his professional and personal experience he can contribute to the goals of the NRCC and develop further the connections and the impact NRCC can make in Romania for the business communities and society.
LAURENTIU DOROBANTU, Partner/co-owner of Bliss Imobiliare
Laurentiu Dorobantu is a Business & Executive Coach and he recently joined Bliss Imobiliare as a Partner/co-owner in charge of the team development and growth.
With 15 years of experience in business consultancy working in different mid and senior management positions in 5 different countries including The Netherlands where he was overseeing the Business Process Improvement team in 27 countries for Omron Electronics, Director of program for Pfizer at the Europe HQ in London etc.
“In the past when interacting with the NRCC community I have found that we have a lot in common as we enjoy networking and together creating a healthy and sustainable business community. I have met members that I know also from other business communities which I also now can call good friends.

LAURENTIU GIOROC, Customer Supply Chain Manager, FrieslandCampina Romania
Laurentiu Gioroc joined FrieslandCampina Romania 9 years ago and was part of the Commercial Department in the first 5 years then part of Supply Chain Department in the last 4 years, fulfilling his dairy industry expertise from both perspectives: Consumer and Customer.
With extensive professional experience in different industries of FMCG, Laurentiu is now leading the Supply Chain Department of FrieslandCampina Romania, ensuring the Demand and Supply Planning, Milk Intake, Logistics and Customer Service. Also, the Romanian farmers development is one of his focus as FrieslandCampina Romania is part of Royal FrieslandCampina, a Dutch Company owned by 12.000 milk farmers.
Laurentiu is also the leader of NRCC Agri Task Force.”
LOREDA DRAGOMIR, Permanent Placement Director of ADECCO
Returned in Romania in 2005, Loreda developed her career in HR consultancy and advisory mainly in Executive Search, recruitment, trainings, assessment, and development centers, etc.
Currently she coordinates the Permanent Placement and Executive Search Division at Adecco, the global leader in Human Resources solutions.
From 2008 onwards, she was an active member of NRCC, being elected Board Member three times. She was involved in Labor and HR Task Forces, she organized HR related Knowledge centers, HR Academies and Road Shows thriving to advising, consulting, and connecting NRCC members, and she was involved in editing the HR Newsletter in order to keep the members updated to HR trends and modifications.
Loreda believes that her attitude, network, professional experience, as well as 14 years of interactions within NRCC can be a valuable contribution to the goals of NRCC and that she can contribute to further development of the Dutch Romanian community. The added value Loreda can bring has to do with diversity, entrepreneurial experience, good understanding of SMEs and HR, as well as very good understanding of both Dutch and Romanian cultures.
PERRY ZIZZI, Managing Partner and leader of the M&A practice of Dentons law firm in Romania
Resident in Romania since 2003, Perry has over a quarter century of experience practicing law in the emerging markets of Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Western Europe, the U.S. and elsewhere. He has served several terms on the Board of Directors of the Romania Green Building Council, the ASEBUSS Advisory Board, the Verita International School Advisory Board, and the Romanian Diversity Chamber of Commerce, and he was a founding board member of United Way Romania.
“As a Board Member, I was pleased to lend Dentons’ conferencing platform to the NRCC for much of the initial period of Covid, which allowed the NRCC Executive Team to continue so many excellent events in an online format and permitted NRCC members to maintain meaningful contact when physical presence was not allowed. We also hosted an event with the Dentons Amsterdam office on Doing Business in the Netherlands. Finally, we have supported legislative reforms through the NRCC that became law and made it easier to do business in Romania. I would be honored to have your vote for a second term in order to continue efforts to improve the legal framework and promote business between the Netherlands and Romania.”
RAZVAN COPOIU, General Manager of Signify Romania and South-Eastern Europe
Razvan Copoiu holds, since August 2020, the position of General Manager of Signify Romania and 10 other countries in the south-eastern region of Europe.
Răzvan has an extensive expertise in B2B sales management of electrical equipment and in the field of renewable energy, industrial automation but also software, IoT and Cloud-based solutions, as a result of over 20 years of experience and international exposure in the energy and industrial fields, both in the private and in the public sector, in Romania and in other European countries.
As General Manager of Signify Romania and South Eastern Europe, Razvan’s scope will be to convince the business leaders to go further than manifesting the interest in becoming more environmentally sustainable, by settings clear goals and timeline for: reduction of carbon gas emission, waste limitation, promoting of recycling efforts and minimizing water and energy use. He will be the promoter of the idea that now is the time to take the next steps toward from planning, to effective implementation of the environmental sustainability initiatives.
He is father of two, Andrei and Vlad, and he loves sports like skiing, mountain trekking and diving, he likes driving cars, and as much exotic travels as he can do.
His preferred motto is: “Impossible is nothing!”
