FOUNDER OF CCN

 

Cees Werff was appointed CEO of CCN Group back in January 2015. Before then, he served as Board Member of InterEurope AG between 2012-2014 and CCO of Van Ameyde International between 2007-2011.


Following international management trainee positions at McLarens, Cees Werff joined the ING Group where he held numerous positions including Vice President of Business Development, Director of ING Bank Retail and Head of Claims and Legal between 1996 and 2007.


Cees Werff graduated from the Erasmus University in 1993 with a Master in Law including graduate programs at Oxford and Cambridge University in the United Kingdom. Mid-career, he also completed the Executive Business Program at IMD in Lausanne in 2004.

In a few words, what does CNN offer its customers?

CCN handles cross-border claims within and beyond the European Union for insurance & transport carriers, logistic companies, and fleet-owners. We offer custom-made solutions within the fleet & cargo claims situation and provide European Road Mobility service, including towing assistance, claims – & repair management as well as repatriation and recovery (subrogation) service. Additional services lines include claims management for property & liability related claims, employer legal support services, risk & advisory services and FlightClaimEU services.

Can you give us an insight in the less known services provided by CCN?

CCN’s Transport & Logistics services include claims management services to manage the administration and recovery of CMR claims between suppliers and transport companies. The process is fully automated and includes an online I-Report to submit a new claim, a full-fledged IT system to handle the entire process, from liability setting to payment. All relevant information is included in the IT system, which makes for quick and full analysis and reporting capabilities.

 

Can CCN provide assistance to vehicles abroad?

In case of an accident abroad and if the vehicle is not able to continue its journey, CCN through its network in 36 countries will organize a Road-side Assistance service to repair the vehicle. In case this is not possible, a towing service will be organized and even a replacement vehicle.

 

What about the costs of vehicle repairs, done outside the country?

In the situation the vehicle needs to be repaired, CCN surveyors will oversee and coordinate the repair process, so that the costs will be mitigated. If cost wise more efficient, CCN will organize the repatriation of the vehicle back to the country of origin or any other selected location.

 

Why go with CCN instead of handling alone an accident and claim abroad?

Managing a cross-border accident can be quite challenging and can produce uncertain outcomes, due to the complexity of cross-border traffic laws. CCN Recovery service has the knowledge and experience to handle these kinds of complex situations. The liable (insurance) party will be traced and the recovery case will be submitted in the correct way, with a high success ratio, including the clients own deductible, loss of income, depreciation of the value of the vehicle, etc.
