NRCC Economic Outlook by ING 2023

Valentin joined ING Romania in 2007. For 10 years he worked in the Treasury department where he was in charge of managing the bank's liquidity and trading on the interbank money market. During this time, he acquired the Certified Treasury Professional diploma from AFP (Association for Financial Professionals) and the ACI Diploma from the Financial Markets Association.


In 2018 he was appointed Economist in the bank, within the Economic Research department, where he managed the macro-economic analysis of several countries (Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia). He was often quoted in international media and his forecasts ranked in top 3 for several countries. In his Chief Economist role, Valentin will continue his macro-economic research activity focusing on the Romanian economy, but also on the other countries in the region he already covered.


Valentin graduated in economics from the Academy of Economic Studies and he earned a Masters’ degree in European Economic Studies from the same university.
